چکیده

Adaptive logics (ALs) in standard format are defined in terms of a monotonic core logic L, a distinct set of ‘abnormal’ formulas and a strategy, which can be either reliability or minimal abnormality. In this article we we ask under which conditions the consequence relation of two ALs that use the same strategy are identical, and when one is a proper subrelation of the other. This results in a number of sufficient (and sometimes necessary) conditions on L and which apply to all ALs in standard format. In addition, we translate our results to the closely related family of default assumption consequence

ESTIMATING DRYING SHRINKAGE OF CONCRETE USING A MULTIVARIATE ADAPTIVE REGRESSION SPLINES APPROACH

In the present study, the multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS) technique is employed to estimate the drying shrinkage of concrete. To this purpose, a very big database (RILEM Data Bank) from different experimental studies is used. Several effective parameters such as the age of onset of shrinkage measurement, age at start of drying, the ratio of the volume of the sample on its drying...

Parametric Characteristics of the Interaction of Technologies and the Criterion Role of Technology spillover

In this work “How the technology interacts with the mathematical model and their parametric characteristics” is a fundamental question. Technologies are mutually effective and impressive. These effects are very evident in various fields, especially engineering and management, and its applications in industry, services and economics. Therefore, in the same way as other fields of action and react...

INCONSISTENCY–ADAPTIVE MODAL LOGICS On How to Cope with Modal Inconsistency

In this paper, I will characterize a new class of inconsistency–adaptive logics, namely inconsistency–adaptive modal logics. These logics cope with inconsistencies in a modal context. More specifically, when faced with inconsistencies, inconsistency–adaptive modal logics avoid explosion, but still allow the derivation of sufficient consequences to adequately explicate the intended part of human...

Designing fuzzy-sliding mode controller with adaptive sliding surface for vector control of induction motors considering structured and non-structured uncertainties

Induction motors with nonlinear dynamics are superior in terms of size, weight, motor inertia, maximum speed, efficiency, and cost than direct current machines, and hence their control is of great important. The main objective of this paper is to design a fuzzy sliding mode controller in order to control the position of the induction motor including parametric and non-parametric uncertainties b...
